§ WHAT SIZE AND THICKNESS CAN YOU BUILD YOUR COUNTERTOPS?
Our countertops are generally “cast in place”, that means we build the countertop in the place of installation (kitchen, bathroom…). Because of this we can build ANY SIZE AND ANY THICKNESS DESIRED! There will not be seams or any discontinuity.
§ SHOULD I REMOVE MY OLD COUNTERTOP?
NO!!! Our countertops system allows for construction of your new countertop right on top of any existing “sound” tiles, masonry, concrete, stone, formica, and even plywood! “sound” means that is solid, not falling apart, not structurally week. Whenever there is no existing surface or the existing surface is not sound we can build a new one with MDF or other materials. Our work is warranted and will NEVER BREAK!
§ CAN YOU BUILD OR REBUILD A BACKSPLASH?
Of course we can. We can also redesign your existing backslash and transform it into a beautiful focal point using our light weight concrete.
§ CAN YOU RESTORE MY BUILT IN SINK?
Yes, we can. Not only we can make it look like natural stone, but we can also transform it to a new attractive shape and color.
§ HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?
Our pricing range varies from $45 to $160 per square foot. We always inspect the project before giving a firm price on the project. We can although give a preliminary quote online or on the telephone: just email us the necessary information (location of project, style, square footage including backsplash and edge surface) and possibly add some pictures of your project.
§ HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO COMPLETE THE PROJECT?
The average construction time for our kitchen countertops is 5 days. During that time you might have limited or no use of the interested area (nearby cabinets, drawers…). Our bids are always including start and completion date for each project. We also try to accommodate the customer request to our schedule whenever possible. Also our countertops have a extremely short curing time.
§ WILL MY COUNTERTOP EVER CRACK OR BREAK?
It is very unlikely the appearance of any cracks, even small. Usually cracks in regular concrete countertops are due to shrinkage during the curing time. Our Countertops cements are especially formulated to allow some flexibility and at the same time are extremely strong.
§ WHAT KIND OF PROTECTIVE SEALANTS ARE AVAILABLE?
Matte or high gloss finishes are available at customer request. For indoor kitchen countertops we recommend our two parts epoxy resin. Our resin is:
· FDA approved for food preparation · Extremely sturdy and resilient · Resists heat up to 450 F · Easy to maintain and clean · Protects the countertop from ANY STAIN, food and drinks, moisture, water and acid.
§ WHAT KIND OF CARE SHOULD WE HAVE USING OUR TOPS?
Only a few things:
· Use a cutting board · Use a trivet. Our resin coating resists to high temperature, but the thermal shock could cause damage to the structure below · Re-apply a thin coat of natural wax at least every 6 months. It will ad extra protection to the top
You can clean your tops with any non abrasive cleaning product for kitchen and bathroom hygiene, windows cleaning products, water. Always use soft sponges or paper or cloth towels
