Stain&Seal

Concrete is a unique material, one of the few surfaces that allows coloring in a large variety of ways. Properly prepared concrete and cement surfaces can be seen just like a painter's canvas, ready to unleash the creativity of the artist.

From water based stains to acetone based, acid stains and even metallic pigments, unlimited are the options when a creative mind and a skilled artisan technique merge together.

Often the rule of "keeping it simple" is extremely efficient in providing a neutral and fresh floor design. When customizing the color of a concrete floor it is important to  have at least a general vision, if not a specific one. When requested we will cooperate with our you, your architect, designer and G.C. to determine the best way to achieve a specific coloration and look.

APPLICATIONS

It is important to understand that only clean and unsealed surfaces are suitable for direct staining. Contrary to popular consent that staining is the most economical way of coloring concrete, often on older concrete (but even on new one) the process of properly preparing the surface can greatly affect the cost.

Whenever the concrete is not suitable for direct staining (Stain&Seal), the surface need to be refinished with diamond equipped machinery or resurfaced with a topical cement coating. Each of these ways has it's advantages and limitations. Depending on the intended use, wanted look, existing conditions and other parameters we can help our clients defining the best way to proceed.
